Economy
Pasco County has lower tax rates, which benefit both Pasco corporations and residents. State corporate income taxes are 5.5 percent, while retail sales tax remains at 7.0 percent. Residents benefit from the absence of a state personal income tax. Pasco County was ranked the 9th fastest growing county in Florida and the 38th fastest growing county in the United States based on population change from July 2004 to July 2005. Pasco County was ranked #1 in the United States for job creation in 2005 (9.5 percent increase over the previous year).
Education
Pasco is now the 13th largest school district in the State of Florida and the 92nd largest in the nation. There are a total of 66 schools: 37 elementary schools, 11 middle schools, 9 high schools, 4 specialized education centers and 5 charter schools. Pasco schools serve about 64,000 students and offer a variety of academic after-school programs and athletic extra-curricular activities.
Parks and Recreation
Pasco County has 34 County parks that provide recreaional amenities for Pasco county residents. From primitive camping to kid-friendly playgrounds, Pasco Parks have it all. The County is home to three State Canoe Trails: Pithlachascotee River Trail, Hillsborough River State Recreation Trail, and the Withlacoochee River Canoe Trail. In addition, the Withalcoochee State Trail, a linear State park, runs through Citrus Springs to Trilby, in Pasco County .
Arts and Culture
The Pasco Arts Council promotes the cultural enhancement of Pasco County with gallery exhibitions, art classes and summer programs for children. Along with its own movie theaters, bowling alleys, skating rinks, and other entertainment venues, Pasco 's proximity allows for quick access to all of he cultural amenities offered in the Tampa Bay area.

City of Zephyrhills

Visitors and residents are treated to a number of special events held throughout the year, including holiday festivals, the Celtic Festival, the annual Antique Auto Show and Zephyrhills Winter AutoFest. These events with musical performances, amusements and spectacular skydiving stunts, help to keep Zephyrhills a friendly, fun town to live or visit.
